i didn't think about hodge much, but then i saw his monologue transcribed somewhere and i thought what the fuck and also what the fuck is going on in this man's head? and then i saw somewhere @the scene with neptune in the bag that "hodgson is the man who went on an arctic expedition JUST IN CASE there was to be cannibalism". and tbh his arc reminds me of some of my dreams, where i want to be brave, but basically "im hungry and i want to live". ALSO duesternis' Gold lives in my head rent free

yes, the communion confession is so so so loaded i would very much like to share my essay about it, but yes very good. also lmao, however, i think that the neptune scene is more him trying to find out hickey’s “game,” you can see it in the way he kind of investigate, waiting for hickey to fill in the blanks. unfortunately hickey is a step ahead and manages to convince hodge of the lie (again)
